Types of Email Marketing Flow Automations For Your Clothing Brand

One great aspect of email marketing is that you can send personalized emails that are automated to your audience. This can be if they added a product to cart but never purchased or if they viewed a product but never added it to cart.

These are called triggers. When a customer does a specific behavior you can send them a series of emails to get them to purchase! Here are the best types of email marketing flow automations to take full advantage of the power of email:

1. Welcome Emails

These first few emails are the most important emails for your clothing brand. Make a good impression and provide them with information on what they should expect from your brand’s emails. For example, tell them you will send them weekly emails with updates and discounts.

Welcome emails are also important for getting a sale. Make emails that hit every aspect of why they should buy from you. For example, make an email about previous customer reviews, what makes your brand stand out, and what you offer.

Here’s a good example of a series of emails you should send out:

Email 1: Thanking them for joining, your lead magnet

Email 2: Brand story + uniqueness

Email 3: Customer reviews and UGC

2. Abandoned Checkout emails

What’s worst than a customer putting in their information at checkout and their mom calling them down for dinner? By the time they get back, they’ve forgotten about it and started doing other things. This is why abandoned checkout emails are so important. Some people just need to be reminded that they forgot to purchase!

If your customer still doesn’t purchase from your reminder then there’s probably another reason why they didn’t purchase. Is it because the price was too high? They didn’t see the value? Or was it because they didn’t trust the reputation of the brand? Your next emails should focus on addressing these problems with coupons or reviews of the product.

Here’s a good example of a series of emails you should send out:

                     Email 1: Abandoned Cart reminder

                     Email 2: Reviews and UGC

Email 3: 10% off discount for product.

3. Abandoned Cart emails

The difference between an abandoned cart and abandoned checkout is that with cart they just added to cart and never clicked the checkout button. Send them the same type of emails with reviews and UGC content. Make sure you filter out the people at checked out and have purchased.

4. Product Abandonment emails

Let’s say a customer of yours one day gets on your website and looks at a specific product, send them an email to entice them to purchase! If the product is selling fast, that should be enough for them to want to purchase it.

5. Re-stock emails

Does your clothing brand always run out of stock? Add a button that says “Remind me when you restock” and set up a re-stock automation so when you restock that product everyone that signed up gets an email! This simple automation will generate a lot of sales.

6. Post-Purchase emails

This email automation sends out an email to your customer after they purchased. Your customers don’t want a boring order confirmation email, they want something unique. You can send out different emails to different people based on how many times they purchased from you. If someone has purchased from you 4 times now, maybe send them an email with more appreciation and a discount code for their next purchase.         Post-purchase flows automations are also good to get product reviews and getting them to purchase from you again. Send them an email 1 week after the delivery date and ask them to give you a review.
